A few weeks ago, I had an awesome opportunity to hang out with my friend LeAnn and her daughter Alex. I was also testing the Canon EF 200mm f/2L IS USM that I had on loan from CPS. I love relaxed shoots where we get to hang out and find interesting locations and textures. The following pictures are a few of my favorites from our time together. I’m looking forward to spring when we can get back together and take some of LeAnn’s entire family.

Faith & Mark | Portraits

Faith is my 16 year old niece, and Mark (her dad, my best man in my wedding, and one of my very best friends) traveled the state for a sweet sixteen daddy/daughter road-trip. I was thrilled when they called and asked for some pictures to help memorialize the trip. We met in Fayetteville, and after lunch we just hung out, walking around and grabbing shots as we played. We had a super-fun time hanging out and visiting, and this post is way over due!!!

Ariel | Senior

I first photographed Ariel on October 20, 2005, and it was one of the most important shoots I’ve ever had. It was my first professional shoot. I’ve shot Ariel several times since then, our most recent was for senior portraits. The first picture below is from our first shoot together.

I love shooting with fixed focal length lenses, and Paul from LensProToGo had just hooked me up with the awesome Canon EF 135mm f/2.0 L. If you need gear you don’t already have or you don’t need to own due to a special project, give Paul a call. He’ll call you back!

Jordan | Prom

I love prom. Maybe it takes me back to my own prom. Maybe, to me, it represents all the possibilities that lay ahead. At any rate, Jordan is a Siloam Springs senior who has a world of possibilities in front of her. Jordan is a fun girl that I’ve known from church (HABC) for the last few years. I didn’t hesitate to take her pictures.
