Whitney & Drew | Engagement

Whitney, Drew, and I met on the University of Arkansas campus for their engagement shoot.  There was a very even layer of clouds providing soft even lighting and good saturated colors, perfect for an outdoor engagement shoot! Whitney, Drew and I had a lot of fun and continued shooting into the night.

Rosa & Dustin | Engagement

Rosa, Dustin, and I met at the War Eagle Mill, just east of Fayetteville for a fun afternoon engagement shoot. Rosa and Dustin are a really fun couple who are very excited about their engagement and upcoming marriage.

Stacy & Cody | Wedding

For Stacy and Cody, we traveled to Lawton, OK, and just as before, I felt immediately at home. I had a great time at the rehearsal where I received a glimpse of what would follow the next day for the ceremony. The wedding, held at First Baptist Church went without a hitch, followed by a limo ride to the reception at the Medicine Park Music Hall outside of Lawton. As usual, I had the opportunity to sneak off with the newlyweds for a few couples portraits before rejoining the reception where the dancing lasted well into the night. It was truly awesome to see the union of two genuinely warm and welcoming families.

Keleigh & David | Engagement

One of the things I love most about an engagement shoot is the ability to get to know the couple a little better. It also gives them a chance to get to know me as well. When you are comfortable with your photographer, your pictures look terrific! Keleigh and I had talked over the phone and emailed back and forth a few times before we actually met to shoot in Ft. Smith. Keleigh and David drove up from Conway for an awesome afternoon shoot. We started shooting at 6:00 PM at a cool temperature of 106°. A couple of towels and some strategic use of shade helped keep the sweat at bay (along with a change of clothes for the happy couple).

The pictures turned out great. Here are a few of my favorites.

Stacy & Cody | Engagement

Stacy, Cody, and I met for the first time over coffee to discuss her plans for a perfect wedding and to begin planning the photography services that would be appropriate for her best day.  Within seconds we were all cracking jokes and feeling very at ease.  It was no surprise that when we got together to shoot their engagements, it felt like I was hangin’ out with family.  Stacy and Cody each have degrees in Agriculture from OSU, and I believe the location fit them and their personalities perfectly.

Eliza - These are cute couples.I love the black and white photo, very cool!
